With sword raised high and eyes fixed firm
Upon the lessons in truth and valor my heart has learned,
I seek to find the path to end
This tormenting maze that all has been.
Test my knowledge and test my birth,
The time has come to challenge my worth
And to toss high the coin of momentous decisions
That will forever change my course.
But I have no fear, no trace of doubt
So I smile with arrogance and lift my eyes
To meet the bruised and angry sky,
To face the oncoming storm.
A battle cry is torn from me,
A single note of passion set free
In a single word or glint of blade
Upon unbreakable vows solidly self-made.
Look to me with expectant faces
With breath held fast in hopeless anticipation
As I wield the blade at last to kill
The she-demon who forever haunts me.
